Mandatory Reporting Training (Port Macquarie)

Preventing Child Abuse and Neglect

Children are safest when all the adults around them understand how to play a part in preventing abuse.

• Do you understand your roles and responsibilities in preventing child abuse and neglect?
• Are you confident about your legal requirements to report abuse?
• How would you respond to a disclosure, or help a child or family at risk?
• Can you identify early signs or risk factors?
• Are you aware of the little things that you can do every day to help protect children?

This 3-hour workshop will be facilitated by NAPCAN:

NAPCAN (National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect) is a national organisation dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of Australia’s children and young people. We differ from most organisations working in the field of child abuse and neglect, in that we are primarily focused on PREVENTION. Our strategy is focused on supporting high-quality child abuse prevention research, advocating for child-safe policies and strategies, coordinating National Child Protection Week, and providing a range of resources and training to support the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
