Lesson Overview
Students discuss the importance of acknowledging Country and engaging with the land and environment around them. Students use their 5 senses to connect to the earth while discussing the importance of looking after the land, and what they can do to care for the land. Students work collaboratively to create an acknowledgment of Country through actions they have come up with, which also includes what they love about their local area and how we can all protect it.

meaning about them - make drama in various groupings by responding to the elements of drama (e.g. tension, contrast, symbol, time, space, focus and mood).
A student will learn about:
- engaging in the elements of drama to develop the action of the drama
- making decisions about role, situation, space, voice and movement.
Lesson Overview
Students will work collaboratively to act out a performance using puppetry. Students will work together in groups to design a drama performance based on a prescribed positive value. Students will also focus on developing ways to communicate in a caring, inclusive and respectful manner with themselves and others.

- explore role interactions in a variety of dramatic situations.
- make drama in various groupings by responding to the elements of drama (e.g. tension, contrast, symbol, time, space, focus and mood).
- make meaning through the forms of drama (e.g. improvisation, movement, mime, storytelling, readers’ theatre and puppetry).
- communicate and express their everyday and imagined experiences in drama as a way to create meaning about them.
- respond to drama as devisers and audience members.
A student will learn about:
- engaging in the elements of drama to develop the action of the drama.
- making decisions about role, situation, space, voice and movement.
- viewing character relationships in live performances and screen drama.
Lesson Overview
Students explore and discuss different values as well as which values are important to them and which ones help to shape their identity. Students will work collaboratively to act out a performance using puppetry. Students will focus on developing ways to communicate in a caring, inclusive and respectful manner with themselves and others. Students will gain confidence in speaking and performing through drama concepts.

Through acting scenarios, students will learn to communicate ways to be caring, inclusive and respectful of others. Students will be given a platform to discuss different perspectives and a safe place to ask questions. Students engage in roles through imaginative play and scenarios. This lesson allows students to learn different perspectives on the variety of ways they can interact and include others. It also encourages empathy where students are to put themselves in the shoes of others.

A student will learn to:
- express feelings and other responses when depicting an event, eg the feelings associated with the celebratory homecoming of a child
- express dramatic meaning through movement and voice
- express an understanding of the shared fiction of the drama by stepping into-role to enact a
situation and stepping out-of-role to reflect on the action.
A student will learn about:
- responding to their own drama and that of others by describing their ideas and feelings
- responding to the action of the drama through individual and group roles, e.g. superheroes, protesters.

- viewing character relationships in live performances and screen drama
- devising drama in collaboration with others using scripted and unscripted material as resources for drama performances
- negotiating and sustaining roles and their relationships in shaping the action.
Lesson Overview
Students explore how hearing can be used to locate and identify different sounds within a dramatic context. Students work collaboratively to create stories that incorporate and depend upon hearing and sounds. In groups, students compose their own sounds and use their sense of hearing to locate other members of a group in a story-based context. Students will share their stories with the class using expression, tone and movement.
