Free Surfing Classes
Groundworks Youth Hub is offering two surfing classes over the summer break!
Join our highly skilled instructors as they teach you the fundamentals of surfing for you to build your confidence to ride waves on your own.
We've got lunch and equipment all covered, just bring a hat, sunscreen, water and towel and get ready for a wild day at the beach!
The classes are open to 12-24-year-olds and are free.

Dungeons and Dragons Holiday Program
Embark on an epic adventure! Join us for a thrilling Dungeons and Dragons event where your imagination shapes the story. Team up, roll the dice and conquer the unknown. New heroes and seasoned adventurers are welcome.

Free Brazilian Ju-jitsu Classes
Free Brazilian Jiu-jitsu classes are on offer these school holidays. These sessions offer young people the opportunity to focus on self-defence, footwork, and timing, all delivered in a fun and dynamic format. Participants engage in interactive drills and games while embracing the principles of discipline, respect, and teamwork.
All skill levels are welcome, no prior experience needed.

MENtors for Men – Men supporting men
MENtors For Men, based on the Coffs Coast of NSW, is all about men supporting men.
As a social inclusion program they achieve this by connecting with men in the community and establishing peer support, mentoring networks and services to improve men’s physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing.
Their intention is to provide men with a sense of belonging and purpose through friendship.
As mentors, they meet up once a week and share experiences and wisdom.
Their training enables them to address men’s behaviour, risk-taking, and health through self-awareness.
Operating as volunteers provides the opportunity for men from all backgrounds to share their skills, knowledge and experience, and build a rich culture of men supporting men.
MENtors for Men is a community service organisation that’s free, non-profit, non-religious, and completely confidential.

Free Child Car Seat Safety Check
All children must be safely fastened in the correct child car seat for their age and size.
We are providing FREE child restraint fitting and safety checking!
Funded by Transport for NSW, this event will be run with Authorised Safety Restraint Fitters. These fitters are part of a specialist network and have been trained to fit, inspect and adjust child car seats to make sure they are installed correctly for each vehicle. They can also show you the correct way to use your child's car seat so you can be confident your child is safe.

No Lights No Lycra
Music on, lights off, no worries!
No Lights No Lycra (NLNL) is a global dance community offering an inclusive, non-judgmental space where people can come together to dance, express themselves, and experience joy. Founded in Melbourne, NLNL has grown to over 75 communities worldwide, with more than half of sessions held in regional towns to ensure accessibility. Now it's happening in Port Macquarie.
NLNL events are drug- and alcohol-free, held in the dark, and open to everyone (+16), no dance skills or experience required. The philosophy is simple: everyone can dance.
They run fortnightly, community-based events in a safe and welcoming environment. These 1-hour sessions are designed to boost wellbeing, encourage free movement, reduce stress, and foster social connection.

Community Consultation on Inclusive & Accessible Events
Blue Sky Community Services (NDIS LAC Partner in the Community) is currently developing some new resources promoting inclusion and accessibility, and we need your help!
Our aim is to educate and empower organisations to create more inclusive and accessible environments, where everyone is welcome, safe and included. To ensure that our resources meet the expectations and needs of those living with disability, we would love to know your experiences and needs.

Tuning Into Teens Free Parenting Program
Tuning Into Teens is a 6-week program for parents with children aged 10 years or older. The program aims to teach parents how they can help their teenage child develop good emotional skills. A pre-group intake discussion is held to ensure the group is right for participants.

Blue Sky Community Services created the Community Connections Guide to encourage social inclusion across the Mid North Coast. The guide contains profiles of local groups and includes information on how to join, what to expect, and a list of accessibility features.
Community members can use the guide to explore groups they may wish to connect to.
Community groups can reach out to Blue Sky to be featured in the guide - It’s free to list! We can also assist you with easy practical ways your group can celebrate diversity, promote inclusion and, most importantly, make people feel like they belong.
