16 Days of Activism 2024

Sold Out

To mark the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence in 2024, a full-day educational forum will be offered to community service workers on the Mid North Coast. This year, the sector training activity will run face-to-face! The professional development activity will focus on domestic and family violence prevention and how we can keep children and their families safe. The forum will feature presentations by Ashlee Donohue, Dr Michael Flood, Sarah Dahlenburg from The Mid North Coast Legal Centre, Michelle Stocks from Kirinari, and break-out workshops by the local DFV Specialist Services.

Date: Wednesday, 27th November 2024
Time: 9 am - 4 pm (registration from 8:30 am)
Venue: C.ex Club, Coffs Harbour

There will NOT be a recording available. Attendance is strongly advised. If travel is a barrier to you attending and you work in the Kempsey, Port Macquarie and Mid Coast LGAs then please contact sdo@bluesky.org.au so that we can help find a solution for you.

Please note that while Blue Sky is coordinating the workshops, the information, opinions and expertise of the presenters are their own.

This forum has been developed with the support of Blue Sky Community Services, Warrina DFV Specialist Service, Kempsey Families Inc, Liberty DFV Specialist Service, Samaritans, Kirinari Community Services, NSW Department of Communities & Justice, Mid North Coast Local Health District and Lifetime Connect. We would like to recognise additional grant and sponsorship funding from Coffs Harbour City Council, BCU Bank, C.ex Club and Cash 4 Cans.
