16 Days of Activism - What is the safe and together model of practice in the DFV field?

Upcoming

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global annual campaign held from November 25 to December 10, dedicated to raising awareness of violence against women and girls as a fundamental human rights violation. The campaign calls on individuals, communities, and organisations around the world to come together, demand accountability, advocate for prevention, and foster a culture rooted in equality, safety, and respect for all.

Blue Sky Community Services is hosting a series of five live webinars featuring thought leaders and influential practitioners who are making a significant impact in this field.

This presentation will be run by the wonderful Jackie Wruck, a proud Aboriginal Yindinji woman from Far North Queensland, Yarrabah region. Jackie is the Asia Pacific Regional Manager of Safe & Together, as well as a certified Safe & Together trainer.

As part of our 16 Days of Activism campaign, Jackie will explain the Safe & Together model of practice. The Safe & Together Institute empowers professionals across all child welfare sectors to transform their approach to domestic abuse cases through a child-centred, survivor-strengths framework called the Safe & Together Modelâ„¢.

This evidence-based domestic violence training provides a common language and practical tools that help you make more informed decisions, collaborate more effectively across agencies, save valuable time, and ultimately keep children safe and together with their protective parents and out of institutions.
