Compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
With the introduction of the new Aged Care Act, CHSP providers are entering a new era of accountability and opportunity. This practical training session will explore the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and what they mean for Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) services. Participants will learn about how the five new quality standards align with their obligations and how to embed compliance into day-to-day practice to ensure quality, person-centred care.
Some of the key topics we will cover are:
• An overview of the Aged Care Quality Standards and learn what has changed and why
• Applying the Strengthened Standards to CHSP Service
• How the new standards translate to the context of CHSP
• Provider registration, governance, and obligations
• How compliance will be monitored and regulated, and how it links with your organisation's legal responsibilities under the new Act
• Embedding the Standards into business practice
• Practical strategies to align your service model, governance, and frontline delivery with the new requirements
• Preparing for reform readiness
• Tools and resources to assess your organisation's readiness and map a pathway for change.
Who should attend? CHSP Providers, Managers, Team Leaders, Compliance Staff and anyone involved in service planning, delivery and quality improvement.
Paul Sadler, who will be facilitating this session, is an experienced leader and influencer with extensive experience from more than 38 years in the Aged Care sector.
