Blue Sky Community Services is proud to have received a Membership Badge from The Centre for Volunteering, recognising our commitment to supporting meaningful volunteer opportunities and strengthening community connections through the Australian Government’s Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS).
The ACVVS connects trained volunteers with older people who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation, providing regular visits that foster genuine friendships, companionship and improved wellbeing.
Through this program, Blue Sky’s dedicated volunteers play an important role in helping older people remain connected to their community, creating opportunities for conversation, shared experiences and meaningful relationships.
This recognition celebrates the valuable contribution of our volunteers and the positive impact they have on the lives of older people across our communities.
