Momentum Youth Housing Service

The Momentum Youth Housing Service assists young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Momentum assists young people, aged 17 to 25 years, to find and keep stable and safe accommodation, build skills for independent living and improve health and wellbeing.

Momentum staff support young people to:

• enhance positive relationships with their families and friends
• work on personal goals
• overcome challenges with drugs and alcohol
• connect with education and employment opportunities
• build positive relationships with landlords, Real Estate Agents and Centrelink
• find and keep private rental accommodation.  

While Momentum does not provide crisis accommodation, we can support young people to access the services they need through assessment and referrals.

Momentum can also assist young people to access our transitional housing program for up to 12 months. Our transitional housing program is supported by intensive support and case management and is for young people who are committed to participating in and completing a range of skill-building programs that will mean they are able to successfully move into private rental accommodation.
